RECIPE :: apple and pear sorbet
Since childhood, apples and pears have always gone together for me, including their combined juice. So here is a sorbet of apples and pears with the maple syrup used as a sweetener and the cinnamon because it goes so well with apples.
Ingredients
4 apples (peeled and cored),
5 pears (peeled and cored),
1tsp of cinnamon and
2tbsp of maple syrup.
Method

Mash the apples and pears into a pulp. You can do this by chopping and blending them or if your blender is not powerful enough you can grate and mash before blending. |

Mix the cinnamon and maple syrup into the pulped fruit. |

Place the liquid into an ice-cream maker or put into a fridge and take out every hour and stir thoroughly. |

This can be stored in the freezer, but will need to be defrosted for 20-30 minutes before serving. |
