RECIPE :: apple and pear sorbet

Since childhood, apples and pears have always gone together for me, including their combined juice. So here is a sorbet of apples and pears with the maple syrup used as a sweetener and the cinnamon because it goes so well with apples.

Ingredients
4 apples (peeled and cored),
5 pears (peeled and cored),
1tsp of cinnamon and
2tbsp of maple syrup.

Method
1) Mash the apples and pears into a pulp.  You can do this by chopping and blending them or if your blender is not powerful enough you can grate and mash before blending.
2) Mix the cinnamon and maple syrup into the pulped fruit.
3) Place the liquid into an ice-cream maker or put into a fridge and take out every hour and stir thoroughly.
4) This can be stored in the freezer, but will need to be defrosted for 20-30 minutes before serving.
