RECIPE :: chocolate fondue

There’s something quite opulent about dipping things in molten chocolate especially if that chocolate has a quarter of a litre of maple syrup and cream in it. If you have any left it tastes wonderful on breakfast cereal.

250ml of maple syrup,
250ml of cream,
50g / 2oz of cocoa powder,
1tsp of vanilla extract and
50g / 2oz of chocolate (finely chopped).

1) Combine and heat the first three ingredients for 10 minutes over a low heat, stirring regularly. Make sure that the cocoa powder dissolves.
2) Remove from the heat and place the rest of the ingredients into the liquid and leave to stand for 2 minutes before stirring them in.
3) Serve in a fondue dish. chocolate fondue picture
