RECIPE :: chocolate fondue
There’s something quite opulent about dipping things in molten chocolate especially if that chocolate has a quarter of a litre of maple syrup and cream in it. If you have any left it tastes wonderful on breakfast cereal.
Ingredients
250ml of maple syrup,
250ml of cream,
50g / 2oz of cocoa powder,
1tsp of vanilla extract and
50g / 2oz of chocolate (finely chopped).
Method
| 1) |
Combine and heat the first three ingredients for 10 minutes over a low heat, stirring regularly. Make sure that the cocoa powder dissolves. |
| 2) |
Remove from the heat and place the rest of the ingredients into the liquid and leave to stand for 2 minutes before stirring them in. |
| 3) |
Serve in a fondue dish. |
