Quarry at Machynlleth |
Deep in the quarry's bottom,
In a hole rent by mans' desire to build,
Mother Earth has reclaimed her space.
Green, lush and luxurious,
In the damp mid March.
Rising high; sheets of sheer slate.
The ground; verdant and moss strewn,
Where once a stream flowed.
A life giving space,
Where once there was none.
With trees, mosses and ferns.
Moss covering slate and trees,
Life on Life
Trees of green,
With moss dangling from branches like catkins.
Decaying branches supporting life; giving life
In nature's never ending cycle.
Life giving water sheeting down rock,
The dripping of water,
The roaring of the wind in trees,
Creating a meditative sound.
In this peaceful, perfect place.
