RECIPE :: Smoked tofu and mushroom pate
Smoky flavours in food gives a unique flavour that I am only now starting to play with and am amazed that I have been cooking for over a decade and not played with such fabulous food stuff. Here in this recipe I put the smoky versions of three of my favourite foods (as you can see from reading these random rants I have many favourite foods) into this pate. The result is a warm feeling pate that I am more than happy with.
Ingredients
2tbsp of olive oil,
1 onion (finely chopped),
100g of mushrooms (finely chopped),
2 cloves of crushed smoked garlic,
200g of smoked tofu,
juice of ½ a lemon,
½ tsp of smoked paprika,
½ tsp of salt and
½ tsp of miso.
Method

Fry the onion with the olive oil over a low/medium heat for 5 minutes |

Add the mushrooms and garlic to the onions and fry for a further 4 minutes. |

Add all the ingredients to a blender and whiz away until smooth. |

Place in the fridge for 1 hour. Serve chilled. |
